As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Undergraduate Industrial Placement Engineers to be responsible for the development of parts, processes and systems in a fast-paced concurrent environment. To succeed, applicants should have hands-on design, manufacturing, assembly and test experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support new and existing programmes through idea generation.
- Determine optimum design and processing solutions.
- Undertake tasks within programme resource constraints.
- Presentation at internal reviews.
- Set-up and production of samples.
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Familiarity with mechanical systems.
- CAD modelling (preferably SolidWorks).
- Ability to finish tasks on time and budget.
- Proven team player.
- Excellent practical skills.
- Awareness of multi-disciplinary systems.
Desirable qualifications and experience:
- CAE simulation.
- Programming in Python or similar.
- Data analysis in Excel.
- Measurement and record keeping.
- Sample preparation and testing.
We are looking for candidates to start in August with the ability to make impactful contributions to complex challenges immediately. To do this you will need excellent communication skills, superb attention to detail while simultaneously being able to keep broader programme objectives in mind. Multi-tasking, a flexible attitude and sense of humour are essential.
